Out of the bag it looked great, leather is sturdy where it needs to be and supple where you want it to be. It does what I need it to do.
I always look at the details though, and that is where quality is lacking a bit. I would like to see riveting where the flap is attached to the bag I feel that over time the stitching may start to fray at the ends. I would also appreciate a little more attention to the closure, when closed and hanging from my shoulder the strap causes the flap to bunch up on both sides. If the closure flap had been cut away in this area to allow it to remain smooth and flat I would see it as a thoughtful design.
There are rivets that are misaligned with the stitching on the back of the bag, granted, this is merely aesthetic but it is noticeable. The shoulder strap is what bothers me the most however. The adjustment buckle has been installed upside down so the joint in the metal is visible from above and it has a sharp edge that has scored a line in the strap where I had adjusted it. It has also only been partially burnished, there is a very noticeable line on the edge of the strap where the burnishing fluid stopped being applied.
Some may see this as nitpicking, but a product such as this with a ‘regular price’ of $600 should have more attention given to the finishing details.

I was anxious to replace my 15 year old messenger bag and studied a lot of reviews. In fact I ordered and received the Manhattan Leather briefcase from Maverick & Co in time for Christmas. It looked nice on line, but once I had it in my hands, I knew I was looking for something different. Then I found Hides. The Adam Messenger bag was excatly what I was looking for. It looks and feel amazing. The engraving was the cherry on the cake. It has a rich leather look and feel and I can easily imagine, that it will age beautifully. My MacBook Air fits like a glove. The only thing that I am missing is 2-3 small leather loops so I can keep my pens tidy. Such an easy thing to add, I am surprised it isn't there. Overall highly recommended.

The leather is expectable, such great quality and the shipping is so quick. This is the second purchase I’ve made with Hides and I will continue to purchase my leather goods from them.

We git this for my nephew’s graduation last week and when he opened this beautifully wrapped bag he was thrilled to see I got his initially done on it and he loved that! The bag was a beautiful soft pliable leather. Just perfect and exactly what I was hoping for. The size, the multitude of pockets, it's really a nice bag for my professional son. However the 2 magnetic clasps on the flap are not very strong and difficult to get aligned and latched perfectly, kinda like a cheap purse I've had! I noticed as he picked it up and flung crossbody that the magnetic latches came undone and the flap did not lay flat on the bag, probably would allow papers to escape. We may have to McGiver something unfortunately. This was not expected for the price of the bag and would not purchase again for this fault.

The leather is high quality, unique and feels luxurious. The slots are great to keep business cards and credit cards, and the extra pockets are great for extra storage? chargers, papers, what have you. Thanks very much to Umair and the Hides team! I plan to return for further purchases

Everything else I’ve seen in a leather messenger bag, is sub-standard quality for twice the price. This bag is amazing and toughly constructed cowhide, to last the rest of your life. The lining is strong, medium weave cotton to help protect devices, and the bag has more storage options than you’ll ever use. I can’t say enough good about it.
